Intern in civil society networking and communication

radius is an office for communication, campaigns, strategy and training founded in 2023 and based in Vienna. As a collective, radius works with various civil society organizations and institutions on progressive social and ecological projects and campaigns and supports social movements with training and advice. radius is organized as an association, which is run and developed by the employees and some other association members as a collective in a self-determined and collaborative manner.

To support our team we are looking for a:n

Intern for networking and communication (15-20 hours per week).

In this position, you will get to know radius and our work and, depending on current projects, get involved in our networking, communication and campaign work. Together with us, you will work with various partner organizations on socially relevant projects in areas such as democracy and civic engagement, social justice, mobility, environmental protection and climate justice. The exact combination of activities depends on your interests and strengths.

Possible tasks:

• Collaboration in the coordination, planning and moderation of planning and working meetings; exchange with project partners;
• Support for advisory and training services for civil society initiatives
• Administrative support for projects, e.g. in the area of further education
• Participation in various civil society events
• Collaboration in the creation of strategies, communication concepts and campaigns
• Carrying out or preparing research and communication work, e.g. copywriting, press relations, social media, content creation

Skills & Requirements:

• Interest in and preferably already experience in civil society organizations, social movements and political activism
• Good communication skills, creativity in copywriting, social media, video creation, graphics, etc.
• High level of interest in politics and media reporting, especially on topics on which radius works, such as democratic politics and civil society participation, environmental and climate policy. participation, environmental and climate policy;
• Team orientation, ability to work independently and adaptability;
